Covid

 Covid has come in Nepal via much larger countries. It came to Nepal mainly with arrival of summer of 2020. Pandemic which only held its place in the dictionary turned into reality. First strain of virus to become infamous was the Wuhan Virus. 

Miraculously Wuhan virus was contained in Wuhan and China. 

Those days when Wuhan virus was making Pandemic great again, the New York Times and The Guardian were almost furnishing Live update on China virus with Language of belittlement against  China. 

Then time arrived when Virus broke through The USA, and Europe. Italy and Spain became a battle ground of Virus and human. Humans were undone by this invisible force. Italy and Spain suffered huge causality.  

The Brahma ji turned Modi was chilled considering the fact the virus looked impenetrable in the region with  tradition of Indic herbs and remnants of ancient hindu lifestyle still in active mode. 

In Nepal it took around three summer months for the  toll of the virus to reach an alarming level. From the beginning strict curfew was in place, what undid this was influx of huge number of Nepalis  from India. Basically Nepal had to face the three summer months of Virus Scare. With winter Virus vanished and large scale political protests were in active voice mode on the streets. KP Oli and Pushpa kamal become virulent against each other.  

In the beginning when Wuhan virus was doing its work experts had predicted that Virus would come under control with the entry of summer supplying the logic that flu virus got flushed out in the heat. This theory did not work. Six month of time is spent.  

Experts in Nepal had warned that with the onset of Winter with many people staying in close set up with sealed ventilation virus would spread like KP oli's jokes. The theory also  failed to materialize.

As of now, new strains of Virus have come in the scene. British variant, South African variant, newly arrived Kent variant among others. These variants seem to be impervious towards temperature and have displayed tendency to spread like wild fire. Britain had attained normalcy warding off Wuhan virus, with the coming of these variants Britain is in dire straits with experts asserting that Kent variant is as deadly as Nepal's political confrontation and corruption based political parties.

Few Lakhs vaccine have made their way in Nepal, more for commercial advertisement than with the intent of ethical good will. We may have to buy the vaccine for rest of the population without being certain that vaccine would counter new variants into inaction. If vaccine fail to work against the upcoming variants then governments all over the world are bound to lose huge sums of money.  

How will virus affect Nepali people depends on how multiple variants behave in the summer of 2021. In my reading summer of 2021 will be most important six months for the people of Nepal among other regions.
