Hong kong, UAE, and the Netherlands

The Netherlands weak link is there bowling. This has been so for long long time. Upon witnessing Netherlands from such close quarter, I have come to a point of stating that Netherlander's bowling only boasts of  five fifth bowlers. There bowling  was moribund.

In comparison Hong Kong and UAE have much balanced unit. Hong Kong and UAE both have bowling that can match a team that plays at the levels of Nepal. Most players that play for Hong Kong and UAE learnt their skills in Pakistan which is melodic news. Learning skills is an art form. Quality players  coming out from multitude  corners of the world has made associate cricket competitive. Few players who learn their craft in the West Indies play for the United States. Likewise Canada have few players having skills inculcated in Sri-lanks.  Not only at  associate cricket, even in higher level   mixing of skills of many regions of the world  has give good flavour to the sport. One example is that of Usman Qadir, he was all geared to play for Australia. He could not sculpture his play in the Team with Zampa doing serving well for Australia. Usman currently is in Pakistan Squad replacing Saddab Khan when he misfires.  Kevin Peterson played for England, he could have also played for South Africa. Kevin Peterson was even willing to play from Pakistan.

For fifty over format Hong Kong and UAE's batting is too pedestrian and brims with lack of deep understanding of the game and unintelligent hurry to begin the slog brand of batting. For t-20, despite the slog factor, both team become a serious competition for teams like Nepal or Oman or Scotland.

Malaysia visisted Nepal with eleven slogger. No more space for Malaysia. I would not like to see Malaysia play in tri-lateral series for the next ten years. It is waste of expensive and capitalist food of hotel Soaltee.

Chatur Bahadur Chand should be filled now with the Idea to bring Bangladesh-23 and if possible pakistan 23. Nepal should learn the craft and develop mind to play quality pacers from  under 23 side of quality team, and begin to display quality cricket against a prized opponent. Likewise to tighten the screws of our bowling we need to play against prized opponents.

First thing Cricket Association of Nepal should put mind and money on is a search of pace bowlers. We must, in the first place, find bowlers who can surpass speed of 130km/hr. Our pace battery looks like that of a college team. A Nation level hunt of pacers should be our first priority.

Second is training. Training should be idea driven. Not just ritualistic comprising of hitting a cricket ball. What is next level is how you hit, where you hit, what you should not do, what you should learn to do ? Mere pedestrian level ritualism and 30 days camp won't work. Woman's cricket should be equally given space. Everest Premier League should also be made to organize its woman's version. CAN should play a critical role in making Everest Premier League gender sensitive instead of creating sensationalism. I would love to see woman version of EPL than see Chris Gayle bat in TU.
